Wordy Wednesdays!

I absolutely adore the word Onomatopoeia. The meaning is awesome and it's super fun to say!

on·o·mat·o·poe·ia
[on-uh-mat-uh-pee-uh, ‐mah-tuh]

-noun
  1. the formation of a word, as cuckoo or boom, by imitation of a sound made by or associated with it's referent
  2. a word so formed
  3. Rhetoric. the use of imitative and naturally suggestive words for rhetorical effect.
I hate the word Lumpy. Just saying it is gross. Have you ever had anything where it was good that it was lumpy? A mattress? NO. Food? NO. People? NO. You get the idea so I'll stop there.

lump·y
[luhm-pee]

-adjective
  1. full of lumps: lumpy gravy.
  2. covered with lumps, as a surface.
  3. heavy or clumsy, as in movement or style; crude: a lumpy gait; a lumpy narrative.

  1. Oh my goodness! Onomatopoeia is one of my favorite words too. :) Except for the spelling. So confusing! Oh, well.
